Adoption By Choice (ABC) is a licensed non-profit agency that provides professional and complete adoption services in Alberta, Canada. Our head office is in Calgary and we have a second office in Edmonton. ABC also has contract staff that provide satellite services in Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Vermilion, Lloydminster, Red Deer, Canmore and Banff and can travel throughout the province to serve families.
Since 1989, our team of caring, trained professionals has helped hundreds of people to build satisfying and successful open adoptions. We also offer an international adoption program and can assist in finalizing direct placement adoptions.
Carol Lamb, MSW, a registered social worker, brings 28 years of experience to her position at ABC. Carol founded Adoption By Choice in 1989 and has worked with hundreds of birth parents and adopting families to prepare them for open adoption.
Carol leads a strong team of trained and caring professionals to provide adoption services province wide. She is a long-time advocate of open adoption and has served on a number of committees to improve adoption services in Alberta.
